Frame head repair... Rahmenkopfreparatur

Today I finally started work on the frame head. Heute habe ich endlich angefangen den Rahmenkopf zu reparieren: This is what I started with:

So, drilling out the spot welds first. Zuerst die Schweißpunkte ausbohren:

Then cut out the rotted material and repaired the edges:   Dann das rostige Zeug abtrennen und die Ecken reparieren:

So, we had this. So weit so gut!

new part vs. old part - the Brazilian? repair panel had  a third bolt hole, which is unnessecary!
alt und neu - das Brasilianische? Ersatzteil hatte 3 Befestigungsbohrungen:

So I welded it shut and drilled a few holes for spot welding.
Also, schnell zuschweißen und ein paar Löcher zum Verschweißen bohren:

o.k. , so it can be welded on now.    So, jetzt dran damit:

After I de-burred and straightened / flattened it, the fits and looks are good so far.
