a "hole" lot of fun... Löcher, überall Löcher!

I spend most of today searching and welding all those holes in the pan. In the end I counted 37! holes which needed to be welded shut! Maybe the PO used screws to fix the carpet?
Heute habe ich die insgesamt 37! Löcher zugeschweißt die ich in der Bodenplatte gefunden habe. Ob der Vorbesitzer vielleicht seinen Teppich "festgespaxt" hat?

Also, the remains of the jack brackets had to go and replaced with patches of fresh metal.
Außerdem habe ich noch die Wagenheberaufnahmen komplett entfernt, zum Teil waren die schon abgeflext, die vergammelten Bereiche wurden mit neuen Blechen instandgesetzt.

And last but not least I noticed the that this chassis had no gear box mount, somebody cut it of:
Zum guten Schluß musste ich feststellen das dieses Chassis keinen Getriebehalter mehr hatte:

So, the donor had to be cut to get a repair piece - a hell of a job!
Also musste das Spenderchassis herhalten - Das austrennen war ein Höllenjob:

Dann eine Lehre gebaut und das Teil schon mal angepunktet:
Then I set up a little gauge and fixed the bracket  onto the "new" chassis
